Prof. Sadowski’s output covers anthropological and ecophilosophical studies of the ecological crisis, with particular emphasis on the role of various religious traditions both in the agency and prevention of this crisis. The main areas of research relate to the topics of sustainable development, biocultural diversity, cultural ecology, and environmental history. In addition, in the course of his scientific investigations, he is introducing in Poland a new research trend referred to as “religion and ecology” initiated by prof. Mary E. Tucker and prof. John A. Grim in the mid-1990s in the United States.
